Racks
A full rack comes after adjustable dumbbells and a power stand. If you cannot bolt the floor, the later rack is a flat-foot model.
If you already have adjustable dumbbells, floor mats, and a doorway or wall pull-up bar, do not start here. That kit covers a lot of work. The useful next buy is a power stand if you want squats, presses, and pull-ups that are not hanging on a door frame. Put floor mats down before you set a stand or a rack in place.
This page is for a typical one-car garage or spare room with a standard ceiling, where you may not be able to bolt into the floor. It is not a commercial gym.
A rack is what lets you squat and bench heavy without a spotter, because the safeties catch a missed rep inside the posts. A pull-up bar on top is useful. None of that matters if the rack does not fit the ceiling or the door, or if it needs bolts you cannot put in the floor. A stand is enough until you want that closed-in catch, a more stable bench station, and plate storage.
The later default on this site is the Titan Fitness X-3 Series Flat Foot Power Rack. Use the Titan Fitness T-3 Series only if you can bolt it down. The REP Fitness PR-1100 is the smaller no-bolt rack, for a tighter room and a lighter load. Full shortlist and buy order for this later step: later setup. The floor decision is spelled out in flat-foot vs bolted.
What to check before you order
Do you already have dumbbells, mats, and a mountable pull-up bar? If yes, look at a power stand before a four-post rack.
Can you bolt into the floor? If no, do not buy a bolt-down rack and hope it stands still.
Listed height against the ceiling, including pull-up clearance. Check the current listing for the number.
Outside depth and the door the rack has to walk through.
Whether safeties or spotter arms are in the box, or sold separately.

Titan Fitness X-3 Series Flat Foot Power Rack
What it is: a four-post power rack with a flat-foot base. Titan sells it as a no-bolt setup, with 3 by 3 inch, 11-gauge steel uprights. Heights listed are 82 inches and 91 inches. The 82-inch model lists a 50 by 48 inch footprint. J-hooks and two pull-up bars, 1.25-inch and 2-inch, are included. Plate holders are optional.
Who it is for: the garage or spare room that may not take floor bolts, once a power stand is not enough.
Confirm on the listing: height, whether pin-and-pipe safeties are included (they are accessories on Titan's page), and the current price. Check the current listing.
Skip this if a power stand still covers the work, or if you can bolt the rack down and you need a smaller footprint.
What it is: Titan's bolt-down power rack, 2 by 3 inch, 11-gauge steel. Titan recommends bolting it down for added stability. Heights listed are 82 inches and 91 inches. Depths listed are 24 inches and 36 inches. The 82-inch, 24-inch-depth listing shows a 54 by 32.75 inch footprint. J-hooks and the same two pull-up bars are included.
Who it is for: an owner who can anchor the rack into concrete or a platform, after a stand is no longer enough.
Confirm on the listing: which height and depth you are looking at, whether safeties are in the box, and that you can actually bolt it. Check the current listing.
Skip this if you cannot drill the floor. Do not treat it as a freestanding rack.
What it is: a compact power rack. REP says you cannot bolt it down. It lists a 700-pound rackable capacity, 2 by 2 inch, 14-gauge steel, an 85-inch height, and 3-inch hole spacing. Pin-pipe safeties and J-cups are included, plus a multi-grip pull-up bar. Listed size is 58.1 inches wide and 48.5 inches deep. REP does not recommend band pegs or muscle-ups on this rack, because of tip risk.
Who it is for: a tighter spare room, or a later rack that will not see kipping pull-ups or banded work off the uprights.
Confirm on the listing: the 85-inch height against your ceiling, the 3-inch hole spacing if you care where the safeties land, and stock. The REP page can show pre-order. Check the current listing.
Skip this if you want the option to bolt the rack later, or if you need closer hole spacing than 3 inches. You cannot add floor bolts to this model.
